Reading Food Labels

Making sense of what's on the back of the packet.

Food labels tell you what's in your food. The most useful bit is the "per 100g" column — it lets you compare products easily. Traffic light colours (red/amber/green) tell you at a glance if something is high, medium, or low in fat, sugar, and salt. Green = good, red = be careful.
